Does all of this extra time at home have you spending more time than ever in your backyard, despite the cool temperatures? It’s no surprise that after being cooped up in the house all day, most of us like to spend time in our outdoor space as much as we can.
If you’re looking for ways to make your time outdoors more enjoyable, you may want to consider a firepit or fire table – both are a great addition to any backyard. A perfect centrepiece, firepits and tales provide warmth and light, so your time outside can extend late into the evening while complying with local regulations.
It’s important to note one main difference between firepits and fire tables. While the modern firepits we’ll mention in this article are likely not the kind you had as a kid (an open fire with some bricks precariously leaning against one another to form a circle), they are an encased fireplace with no table attached. A fire table, on the other hand, is a patio table with a fireplace built into the center. These are particularly popular as the surrounding table can be used to place drinks and snacks to fully enjoy the patio season.
With so many options to choose from, you may be unsure of where to begin your search. Below, we’ve listed some of our favourite firepits and tables, and the benefits of each!

The two style options make this a great option for everyone, as customers can choose between logs or crystals to suit their taste.
